Winter Environmental abated asbestos-containing material and re-insulation at Grady Memorial Hospital’s 18-story facility in metro Atlanta. The work was ongoing over a 12 year period in conjunction with other hospital renovations taking place.
Winter Environmental performed the removal and disposal of asbestos containing thermal systems insulation, piping, floor tile and mastic, ceiling tile, roofing material, fireproofing, spray-applied acoustical material, and reinsulation of piping. Miscellaneous interior demolition was also required. Detailed coordination was required with the hospital engineering staff, construction manager and general contractor to allow for scheduling of activities so the facility could remain operational.
