Winter Environmental's NDA Scholarship Awardee
In recognition of an outstanding scholar, Maggie Leptrone, daughter of Winter Environmental’s Ralph Leptrone, has been awarded a college scholarship from the National Demolition Association. The National Demolition Association scholarship is a very selective process which only awards 11 total recipients with this honor. As a recipient, Maggie was announced and recognized at the 2018 NDA Annual Convention in Austin, Texas. Maggie is a junior attending the University of West Georgia. She plans to pursue a career in Nursing where she hopes to use her life-long experience as a Type 1 Diabetic to care for others.

Giving Back
Special Olympics
Since 1964, The Winter Construction Company and its operating divisions of Winter Construction and Winter Environmental has been proud to do business in Atlanta. It’s more than just headquarters: it’s home. We are invested in the health and vitality of our community and the people in it. As nonprofits grapple with increased demand and decreased funding, it is more important than ever for us to give back. In 2004, we held our first annual golf tournament in support of Special Olympics Georgia. To date, we have raised over $750,000 for this incredible organization, and our employees are committed volunteers at the Summer and Winter Games. Those who have attended a Special Olympics event know that “giving back” is a misnomer. “Our first job is to be good people. Our relationship with Special Olympics Georgia is important to us. We made an intentional choice to choose one charity and go deep with them. We wanted SOGA to know that year after year we would be there for them − that they could count on us. As a company, we work hard to uphold that ideal in all we do.” – Brent Reid, President and CEO of Winter
