Winter Environmental completed asbestos abatement services throughout the historic Flatiron Building in Atlanta as part of the buildings renovation. The work covered the basement, roof, and multiple floors, each with its own set of regulated materials and access challenges.

The scope included abatement of floor tile and mastic, slab joint compound, pipe wrap, pipe insulation, drywall joint compound, ceiling coatings, ceiling tile mastic, and roofing materials such as mastic, flashing, and caulking. Abatement needs varied by floor, with significant quantities of floor tile, mastic, and roofing materials removed.

Work was sequenced to support the renovation schedule and maintain safe access throughout the structure. Winter Environmental coordinated closely with the construction project team to phase abatement activities efficiently and keep renovation operations moving without disruption.
