In 2019, Winter Environmental partnered with Winter Construction to support the rehabilitation of a deteriorated school facility in Fairburn. The building had extensive water damage, debris, and asbestos containing materials that made it unsafe for redevelopment. Winter Environmental was contracted to clear and stabilize the structure so the campus expansion could move forward.
The scope included full asbestos abatement, removal and disposal of debris, and management of universal and regulated wastes. The team also completed structural demolition of roughly 33,000 square feet to prepare the site for new construction. This work created the space needed for a major campus addition that included new classrooms, labs, administrative areas, and student amenities.
Winter Environmental’s efforts helped transform a compromised facility into a site ready for safe redevelopment and long term educational use.
