Winter Environmental performed lead based paint stabilization as part of the renovation and conversion of the historic structure into Savanna Hall at Zoo Atlanta. The work required careful manual methods to preserve the building’s character while securing deteriorated lead based coatings across multiple floors.
The scope included stabilizing 11,000 square feet of loose and flaking paint on ceilings and structural columns across the first, second, and third floors.
All surfaces were manually prepared and treated with lead based paint encapsulant coatings to ensure long term durability and safety. Work was coordinated daily with the renovation team to support the transformation of the building into Savanna Hall without disrupting ongoing site activity.
